You’ll need the following:


4 cooking apple (large)

3 table spoons sugar

225 grams of black berries

1 table spoon of water


170 grams of plain flour

75 grams of sugar

75 Grams of butter




Oven – Pre Heat to 180 C


Place the cut apple chunks, sugar and water in a saucepan and using a low heat cook until the apple are soft and turning to mush. 10 minute should do it. Keep stirring the apples to prevent it sticking to the pan.


Move the mushy apple to a large oven prove bowl and let the apples cool slightly. At this point add the berries and stir into the apples.


To create the crumble you will need to mix the flour and butter together with your fingers until the mixture looks like breadcrumbs. Now you have breadcrumbs add the sugar. Now take the breadcrumb mixture and place it on to of your apple and berry mix.  Bake in the oven for about 35-40 minutes.


Once again you have to choose now if you want ice cream or custard!
