Apple and Raspberry Crumble
Take the apples and peel, core and cube them. Put the apple cubes in a large flat dish and then cover this with the raspberries and sprinkle 120 grams of caster sugar over it all.
Sift the flour into a bowl and add the unsalted butter then rub together using your fingertips until the mixture looks like fine breadcrumbs. Stir in the rest of the sugar.
Apple and Plum Crumble:
Spoon the crumble mixture evenly on top of the fruit and then sprinkle the demerara sugar on the very top of this.
Bake the crumble in the preheated oven for between 30 and 40 minutes until the topping is slightly browned and crisp
Oven - 180C or Gas Mark 4
6 large cooking apples
500 grams of Raspberrys (fresh ideally)
300 grams plain flour
300 frams self raising flour
400 grams caster sugar
50 grams demerara sugar
300 grams salted butter
