Rhubarb about 400 grams
125 grams sugar
50g porridge oats 50 grams
50ml orange juice
75 grams butter
100 grams plain flour
Preheat the oven to 190C/170C Fan/gas 5.
Cut ends off the Rhubarb and slice into small pieces. Place into an ovenproof dish. Dribble on the orange juice and sprinkle on the 75g of sugar. Cook this in the pre heated oven for about 20 minutes.
To create your crumble put the porridge oats and the flour and in a large bowl. Cube your butter and put these in to the mix only using a few cubes at a time – keep kneading together until the mixture looks like breadcrumbs.
Once you have what looks like breadcrumbs stir in the last of the sugar and then spoon these onto the rhubarb. Place this back into the oven and cook for another 25 minutes. When the top is a nice brown colour you are finished. Now you just have to decide what you’re going to have with it!
